Distilled, aged, and bottled by Uncle Nearest, this 93-proof whiskey reflects the legacy of Nearest Green, the first known African-American master distiller. Each batch is specially curated by Victoria Eady Butler, a 5th generation descendant of Nearest Green and recognized as Master Blender of the Year by Whisky Magazine in 2021 and 2022. This dedication to excellence is evident in every sip of 1884. The whiskey features a mash bill of at least 51% corn combined with rye and malted barley, aged over four years in new charred oak barrels.
