The Distillery Story
Wyoming Whiskey, established in 2006 by Brad and Kate Mead, operates out of Kirby, Wyoming. This distillery was born from Brad's vision of reintroducing distilling traditions to Wyoming, lost since Prohibition. Wyoming Whiskey is committed to reflecting the essence of the American West, achieving this through careful attention to their distillation process and the use of local resources. The distillery crafted its first batch of bourbon in 2009, quickly distinguishing itself through the use of non-GMO grains sourced from local farms, and pristine water from the Big Horn Mountains. These practices not only contribute to the distinctive flavor profile of their spirits but also underscore a commitment to local agriculture and environmental sustainability. Wyoming Whiskey’s portfolio, headlined by their Small Batch Bourbon and Single Barrel Bourbon, is emblematic of their dedication to quality and innovation. Their small-batch approach ensures unparalleled attention to detail, while the use of full-size barrels for aging imparts a complexity and depth to their bourbons that is rare in the industry. Their distillation practices are also noteworthy for their sustainability efforts, including the use of geothermal energy, further setting Wyoming Whiskey apart as a craft distillery with a conscience.
