High West Distillery has been crafting award-winning whiskeys with a unique blend of tradition and innovation since its inception in 2006. Founded by biochemist David Perkins and his wife Jane, High West began as a small operation in a historic Park City stable and quickly grew into a renowned name in the whiskey world. Today, it operates out of two primary locations—the original High West Saloon in Park City, the world’s first ski-in, ski-out gastro-distillery, and the expansive Blue Sky Ranch distillery in Wanship. High West is celebrated for its blending expertise, combining sourced and in-house spirits to create complex and well-balanced whiskey expressions. Guided by master distiller Brendan Coyle, whose background includes studying Scotch whisky blending in Scotland, High West offers a remarkable range of products such as the spicy yet smooth Double Rye! and the coveted A Midwinter Night’s Dram, aged in port barrels for added depth. What sets High West apart is its commitment to sustainability and transparency. From offsetting 100% of its electricity use to sourcing local grains, the distillery actively works to preserve the Rocky Mountain environment it calls home.
