The Distillery Story

Giant Texas Distillers, located in Houston, Texas, is the largest distillery in the state and west of the Mississippi River. Established in 2012, the distillery rebranded in 2022 to align with its flagship brand, Giant Texas Bourbon. With a production capacity of 16 million liters and 80,000 barrels, the distillery has become a major player in the spirits industry, combining large-scale production with a commitment to quality. Led by founder Carlos de Aldecoa and head distiller Julian Giraldo, who trained under industry legends like David Pickerell and Troy Smith, Giant Texas Distillers employs 100% copper stills to craft its spirits. The distillery produces a diverse portfolio, including bourbon, rye whiskey, and experimental releases. Notable products include Giant Texas 100 Proof Straight Rye Whiskey, which earned a Silver Medal at the London Spirits Competition, and Giant Texas Bourbon UH Edition, a Gold Medal winner in masked tastings.
