The Distillery Story
Boundary Oak Distillery, located in Hardin County, Kentucky, is a small-batch craft distillery with deep roots in the state’s bourbon heritage. Established on October 18, 2013, it became the first legal distillery in Hardin County since Prohibition. The distillery is situated on a historic property featuring a natural spring at the base of a 100-year-old oak tree, which provides the water used in its distillation process. Founded by Master Distiller Brent Goodin, Boundary Oak draws on over 200 years of family history in Kentucky, including ties to the establishment of Bardstown, the Bourbon Capital of the World. The distillery specializes in small-batch production, often crafting spirits one barrel at a time, ensuring quality and attention to detail. Boundary Oak’s portfolio includes a variety of unique spirits, such as Lincoln Straight Bourbon, a tribute to Abraham Lincoln, and Blackhorse 1901, an American whiskey honoring the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment. Other offerings include Kentucky Amber, Cinnful 69, and high-proof moonshines like Kentucky Moonshine 101 Proof and 121 Proof. The distillery also produces Patton Armored Diesel, part of its American Spirits Collection celebrating American heroes.
